#Alert Beware Canadian Air Specialties Scam!

Kawartha Lakes Mums Asks - Has This Scammer Contacted You?

City of Kawartha Lakes Fire Services were informed of a scam where a person pretended to be with the Fire Department. The Fire Service would like to advise all residents the fire service does not phone residents.

What happened?

Canadian Air Specialties NOT Associated with City of Kawartha Lakes

It has been reported to the CKL Fire Service that a company by the name of Canadian Air Specialties, Inc. phoned a resident and stated they were with the fire service and will be coming by to check the residents Co2 detector.
When they arrived, the resident asked for identification, the man had no identification but produced a work order from the Canadian Air Specialties, Inc.
Remember the fire service does not phone residents.When the Fire Service checks smoke alarms, it does not phone first, personnel with identification arrive with a fire truck and knock on the door.
